COVID-19 Precautions

At this time, we are seeing clients in person in our Boston office, we well as via teletherapy.

The public health emergency has been lifted, and many COVID-19 restrictions in health setting have been lifted as well. However, COVID-19 is still present in the community and the risk of exposure and spread still exists. We have therefore instituted a set of procedures for in person meetings designed to keep you and your therapist as safe as possible, while no longer requiring the strictest precautionary measures. Please let us know if you have any questions about these efforts.

  • Heightened hygiene: We sanitizing our hands, our biofeedback equipment, and surfaces after every client and throughout the day. Hand sanitizers are available in the lobby of our building, in the waiting area, and in our offices. Soap and water are available in the kitchen and bathroom of our office suite.

  • Masks are no longer required to be worn by the therapists and the clients. However, if you would like to wear a mask, please do so. If you would like your therapist to wear a mask, please let them know.

  • Physical distancing:  Chairs in our offices are arranged at a 6 ft or greater distance from each other.

  • Air filtration: each of our offices is equipped with a HEPA air purifier.

  • Erring on the side of caution/exposure: If your therapist feels ill, or if they comes in contact with someone who has COVID-19, we will notify you and not come into the office. We ask you to please do the same.

Payment and Insurance Reimbursement

  • We do not work with any insurance company. Payment is expected at the time of each appointment. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards (including HSA/HRA cards)

  • If you have out-of-network benefits with your insurance plan, you may be able to get reimbursed for a portion of the payments you make to us. We will provide you with all the paperwork you need to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

  • We recommend you contact your insurance company to find out:

    • Whether you have out-of-network mental health benefits.

    • If you are choosing teletherapy option, be sure to ask whether out-of-network benefits will cover teletherapy.

    • If you are choosing biofeedback, be sure to ask whether your insurance will reimburse you for biofeedback.

    • What is your deductible for out-of-network mental health.

    • What percentage of our fee will be reimbursed with out-of-network.

  • Medical reimbursement accounts: You may be able to use a pre-tax health reimbursement account (HRA) or health savings account (HAS), also known as “flexible spending accounts” for payment. You may create/adjust these accounts annually or whenever your (or your partner’s) employment or family situation changes. We can estimate the number of sessions that you would need. Such accounts are offered by employers; check with your human resources or benefits officer for details.

Cancellation Policy

  • When you schedule an appointment with us, we reserve that time for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please be sure to give us at least twenty-four hour notice to avoid being charged for the full session. Please note that insurance companies do not reimburse for cancelled sessions; in case of less than 24-hour notice, you will be responsible for the full session fee.

  • If you have an in-person appointment scheduled but cannot make it to the office, we would be happy to convert your session to teletherapy session without an extra charge.
