Trusted, Science-Based Therapy — Tailored to You by Clinicians Known for Their Expertise and Care
Why Our Practice is Different
At the Boston Center for Health Psychology and Biofeedback, we offer more than just therapy — we offer an experience of care that is thoughtful, effective, and grounded in science. Led by Dr. Inna Khazan, a Harvard-trained psychologist and internationally recognized leader in mind-body health, our clinicians work from a shared foundation of evidence-based methods tailored to your goals and life.
Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, insomnia, trauma, chronic pain, or professional performance, you'll find a level of focus, warmth, and clinical precision that sets BCHPB apart. Each therapist is personally trained and supervised by Dr. Khazan in the specialized approaches she teaches to clinicians around the world. 💳 As a boutique, private-pay practice, we’re able to offer individualized attention and flexibility that many larger, insurance-driven clinics simply cannot. Our clients often tell us that this personalized model allows for deeper progress, greater clarity, and care that feels fully focused on them. It’s the first time therapy has felt like it's really working for me.
In-Person or Teletherapy — Care That Meets You Where You Are
Whether you prefer the convenience of teletherapy or the experience of meeting in person, our care is built to adapt to your needs and lifestyle. Many of our clients meet with us entirely online, while others choose a hybrid model — combining virtual sessions with occasional in-person visits when they’re in Boston for work or travel.
Our therapists deliver the same high-quality, science-based care in both formats. Teletherapy is available to clients located in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Florida, South Carolina, and Arkansas. When you visit our office, we’re happy to accommodate longer or multiple sessions to make the most of your time here.
A Calm, Private Space in the Heart of Boston
Our newly remodeled suite at 84 State Street offers a quiet, light-filled setting designed to support your comfort, well-being, and sense of calm. With private offices, sound-masking features, and a discreet check-in process, the space is thoughtfully arranged to ensure your privacy and peace of mind from the moment you arrive.
Easily accessible by public transportation, highways, and nearby parking garages, our location works well for clients throughout Greater Boston. Many of our in-person clients work or study in law, finance, business, and academia; anyone seeking high-quality, science-based care is welcome here. Whether you come in regularly or visit while in Boston for work or personal travel, our space is designed to help you feel grounded, safe, and supported throughout your care.

💳 Payment & Insurance Reimbursement
We are a private-pay practice, which allows us to provide care that’s flexible, focused, and tailored to your individual needs — without the constraints of insurance.
Payment is due at the time of each session. We accept credit cards, HSA/HRA cards, Zelle, PayPal, checks, and cash.
Many clients are able to receive partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits, and we’re happy to provide all necessary documentation for you to submit to your insurance provider. To check on your reimbursement options, ask your insurance company:
-
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
-
Am I covered for teletherapy or biofeedback (if applicable)?
-
What is my deductible, and what percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?
You may also be able to use pre-tax funds from an HSA or flexible spending account (FSA). You may create/adjust these accounts annually or whenever your (or your partner’s) employment or family situation changes. We're happy to help you estimate the number of sessions to plan ahead.
📅 Cancellations & Rescheduling
When we schedule an appointment, that time is reserved just for you. We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations are charged the full session fee. If you use out-of-network insurance for partial reimbursement, please note that most providers do not reimburse for missed sessions — so you would be responsible for the full fee.
If you have an in-person session scheduled but can't make it to the office, we’re happy to convert it to a teletherapy session at no extra cost.
🧼 Hygiene & In-Person Safety
We follow clear, professional hygiene protocols for all in-person sessions. These include:
-
Sanitizing equipment and surfaces between sessions
-
HEPA air filtration in each therapy room
-
Optional masking (let your therapist know your preference)
-
Hand sanitizer and handwashing stations throughout the suite
-
Conversion to teletherapy if you or your therapist feel unwell
Our goal is to maintain a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for everyone.
